🚇 Getting there & home

No parking near the venue – take the subway or bus.
212 extra trains on Lines 1–3. Every 4.5–6 min from 4–7 pm, and every 3–5 min from 8–10 pm.
143 extra city-bus trips on 21 routes.
Mobile QR tickets at Suyeong, Gwangan, Geumnyeonsan and Namcheon stations; ticket machines take credit cards.

🚧 Crowd escape: what to avoid after 8 pm

Busiest stations: Gwangan, Geumnyeonsan, Suyeong, Namcheon (Line 2). Entry is controlled in stages: outside the exits, then fare gates, then platforms. Expect queues.
Road closures: Gwangan Haebyeon-ro (Eonyang junction → Mannam Plaza) from 10 am; beach roads & Marine City from 4 pm; Gwangnam-ro & Millak Waterfront Rd from 5 pm. Gwangan Bridge upper deck closed from 3:30 pm, lower deck from 6:30 pm, both until midnight.
Our tip (not official): wait 30–60 min and eat nearby, or walk inland away from the beach before heading to a station. Check KakaoMap for live crowd levels.
The city will spread people across exit routes. Follow staff and the LED guide vehicles.

Exit-by-exit closure lists weren't published at time of writing – follow on-site signs.

🍜 Food nearby

Millak-dong raw fish (hoe) area – next to Millak Waterfront Park; the city's own guide recommends eating hoe while you watch.
Gwangalli beachfront strip – cafés, bars and restaurants line Gwangan Haebyeon-ro.
Seomyeon / Haeundae – large dining districts a few Line 2 stops away, good for waiting out the crush.

⚠️ Late opening hours on the night aren't confirmed; book ahead or check Naver/KakaoMap. Igidae has no food nearby.

🛟 Safety tips

7,400 safety staff, 42 monitored hotspots, 8 medical booths, 32 ambulances and 4 emergency routes.
Use KakaoMap for live congestion, finding friends and restrooms.
Agree on a meeting point – phones may struggle in the crowd. Charge your phone.
Don't climb barriers. If the beach is closed for capacity, move to another spot.
Beware people charging for "seats" in public areas – police are cracking down.
November nights are cold, especially on hills. Bring layers and a torch.
